Biography

Conductor Steve Orich’s activities, in addition to conducting, include being the Musical Director for a wide range of diverse performances plus an extensive repertoire of orchestrating and composing. He frequently works with other well-known artists in the classical music, theatre and film industries. Maestro Orich has managed a wide range of orchestral projects including symphonic, movie films, theatre (on and off-Broadway) as well as recordings.

Career Highlights as Conductor/Orchestrator
• Working directly with Stephen Sondheim and Angela Lansbury, he partnered in the development of, and conducted, a series of concerts the result of which was the RCA album A Stephen Sondheim Evening. Subsequently, he was Conductor/Orchestrator of the classic A Very Brady Christmas.

Musical theatre activities as Conductor/Orchestrator in New York and California include Jersey Boys at the La Jolla Playhouse; Do I Hear a Waltz? at the Pasadena Playhouse; Both Barrels (retitled A Good Swift Kick); and Paint Your Wagon at the Geffen Playhouse.

• On the Varese Sarabande and Fynsworth Alley labels, he was Conductor/Orchestrator of multiple albums for artists including Helen Reddy, Judy Kay, Debbie Gravitte and Debbie Gibson.
